Free Correlative Problem Solver For Wars Darth Vader

I bought these for my son’s Halloween costume (He is 4.5). They were HUGE! They fit me and weren’t even close to fitting him. So if your child is small, don’t buy these.

Set immediately after Revenge of the Sith, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader gives some interesting insight into how Anakin makes the physical and psychological transformation into Vader. Psychologically, he scorns the Jedi for their weakness and inability to see what Palpatine was doing, while at the same time biding his time until Palpatine has taught him everything there is to know about Sith lore before betraying him. Physically, there’s a good explanation of how difficult it is to adjust to having a largely cybernetic body, and how it forces the formerly agile and somersaulting Anakin into the ponderous, but implacable, Darth Vader (or, in other words, why the fight between Anakin & Obi-Wan at the end of Revenge of the Sith is such a dramatic departure from the fight between Vader & Obi-Wan in A New Hope). We also see some early glimpses of (future) Grand Moff Tarkin, the enslavement of the Wookies (including the apparent death of Chewbacca’s family, forcing him off-world), the construction of the first Death Star, and Obi-Wan’s first realization, while on Tatooine, that his former Padawan is still alive.

Apart from Vader, there’s a plot concerning Roan Shryne and other Jedi who managed to survive Order 66–although some of them survive the events of the book, they haven’t yet made appearances in any other canon fiction (at least according to Wookiepedia).

This book answered a lot of questions like, how did the suit function? What was Anakin thinking? Did he realize he has been deceived?

Great book and an interesting read. I recommend it to everyone!

It’s not that it’s a bad book, honestly. It’s ok, in fact. Worth reading? sure I guess. But it’s got several things going against it.

First off is the title. It’s a bit misleading. Vader is still the antagonist in the background, just like he is everywhere else, except we get to overhear his inner monologue from time to time (about every 3rd or 4th chapter). Luceno has said in the past, however, that the book wasn’t intended to be just about Vader.

The other major thing going against it is quite simple: James Luceno.

Star Wars, in whatever form it may take, is based on action movies. Movies in which action takes place, get my drift? Luceno’s handle on any form of action is paltry at best. every sequence in which there’s a battle or saber duel or whatever are almost written like “Then they fought with lightsabers till one died.” Well, almost that bad.

The other aspect, which may just be with me, is the constant references. Many reviewers gush about Luceno’s familiarity with the canon, but as a lifelong Star Wars registered geek, his familiarity isn’t very familiar. Series of characters drop in and out of the story, with barely an adjective beyond the race they belong to. It’s as if the author just logged onto Wookieepedia and just found some random stuff he liked and threw it in. His initial description of a bland Zabrak Jedi is almost taken word for word from the wookieepedia entry on the race. Rather than feel like a part of the story, this just feels…tacked on. At very few points do you feel any empathy for these characters, in fact for most of the book I felt myself thinking “just kill him/her off already, because I just don’t care”

The story is summed up already here, but it’s not a bad story, it’s just not much of one. This book feels more like a movie tie-in rather than an expanded universe novel, and while I may not be a huge Zahn fan, Luceno cannot hold a candle.

I have read almost all of the SW universe novels… this one wasnt bad… pretty fun and brainless adventure story. This was by-far one of the better SW novels I’ve read.

If you have a Star Wars Lego lover in your house, DON’T pass on this set! It is extremely durable, stands up to hours of play, and of course, the intricate designs that makes Lego famous are here in full resound. The cockpit for Darth even has a special place cut out in the bricks so that he can wear his full outfit, including his mask, quite comfortably. The hatch raises and lowers and there’s even a spot on the bottom for extra light sabers. This guy went together in about 45 minutes by a nine-year-old and it’s just the cat’s meow in the neighborhood. Darth Vader is great as a minifigure and his face is even painted on the head. Great, great toy, loved a ton in this house. Highly recommend!

A little expensive but a lot of fun for my son of 7 who loves Star Wars. He looses some parts but seems to find them eventually. He is also able to added to it to make other star wars vehicles or ones he makes up with the other lego sets he has in his collection.

I got this toy as birthday gift. It was really fun, a challenging build. It is currently in my room on a book self.

I got this backpack for my nephew this Christmas and he loves it! More than his wii, more than any other gift he got. He’s so proud of it, I can’t hardly get him to take it off. He’s extremely excited to wear it to school. Most cartoon backpacks are a little cheesy, but this one sacrifices no style in its attempts to portray Darth Vader. He loves everything Star Wars and that’s why I got him this and I’m really glad I did.

I received this the 3rd week of September. By the end of October it was ripping apart in more than 1 spot. By December there was hardly any lining left, it shredded apart. I had to line the bottom with cardboard so the folders would not rip through. I contacted seller via Amazon email and did not receive any reply. My son had to stop using it when the bottom ripped out despite the cardboard. He is in second grade and usually carries only folders and some days one book in his backpack, not very heavy use. The only good things about this backpack were the Star Wars design, the size, and 2 front zip pockets. None of that is very helpful if the backpack falls apart before mid year. I am sending it back to the seller in it’s current condition. Have fun using it!

My grandson is so proud of his backpack–no one at his school has one. He is really into Star Wars, and the extra little bag is the perfect size for his Game Boy. I was impressed by the quality of this product, compared to the ones seen in retail stores. I know he’ll enjoy this for a long time, as well as being the envy of all his friends.

This backpack literally fell apart in the first two weeks. I bought it for my 7 year old grandson who loves Darth Vadar. He did not have to carry anything heavy in it. I’m really disappointed.

Very happy with my purchase. I needed this to complete my collection of the movies and the movie is great quality.

Thank you for making my day, I had ordered all of the star wars so I have all six and I sent the day watching them in order and it was great to see how every thing got started all the way to the end of return of the Jedhi. Thank you for getting me all of them together.

Star Wars fans rejoice: a prequel that’s actually good! I went into this film skeptical because Episode I was mediocre and Episode II was absolutely terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome this one was. The plot engages the viewer in it’s twisted coils of political conspiracy and strained relationships, and the action sequences really give you a rush of adrenaline. It’s true, as many other reviewers have pointed out, that the dialogue isn’t always the best, but for a Star Wars movie it’s up to par. I also liked the special features on this DVD set. The commentary gave a lot of interesting insight into the making of the film and into the very creative mind of George Lucas, and the documentaries on the second DVD gave me an appreciation for just how complicated a film it was in terms of the special effects and stunts.
