An excellent idea poorly executed. One of the heads broke off the body within a day or two of giving this to my daughter. The whole set is now essentially unusable except as clothing for polly pockets or whatever the competing toys are. Definitely not worth the premium.

How many times do you think Jabba the Hutt tapped Princess Leia?
Was that the reason why she was so tired when we first see her in his palace? leia Auth On wikipedia, it states that Jabba would poke her with his tail whenever Leia was trying to sleep or relax. Also, how do you think it went during the time Jabba licks her face to the point where She was forced to wear her iron bikini? How do you think they did it?

Decent costume. It does not match the picture exactly…it has two slits as seen in other photos of this costume. The wig is really small…so don’t count on it covering all of your hair by a long shot. Remember, the boots are sold separately. Otherwise, it fit pretty well:).

Received this “supposedly” new princess Leia Halloween costume in horrible condition! The dress had holes and stains… I would have sent this product back to the seller but I did bot receive it until the day before Halloween so I didn’t have much choice! I was do disappointed and would never buy again from this seller!

The garment pictured is not the one that is actually being sold. The garment pictured looks to be of decent quality with one leg slit, whereas the actual item sold is made of cheap costume fabric with two slits.

I like the fact that the wig was included with costume. I ordered an XS and while the dress fit well, the velcro-fasten belt was too large.

I’m simply amazed at the detail and quality of this figure. I have other Kotobukiya, Star War’s figures, but this one is the most impressive. I’m just happy I got my hand’s on one before they went out of stock.

I brought the toy for my daughter to be able to play with my son. I was disappointed at the look of the character; it looked nothing like the actress. Little girls want the dolls (action figure) to at least resemble the character in the movie; this doll looked like a man.

small pieces are very delicate and easy to misplace. this is a hard-to-find doll set. not available in disneyland star tours shop, i checked. worth buying if you are into star wars, ONLY IF shipping was ACTUALLY F-R-E-E. you priced it at a few cents less than the minimum qualifying amount for Amazon’s free shipping, so that the customer would actually have pay additional shipping.why don’t you just put it at the exact minimum amount so free shipping would be applicable? felt kinda duped on that one. buyer please take this into consideration.

We got this toy at Disney. My daughter enjoyed it briefly while we were still in the park. On the way home the neck broke rendering the toy unusable. She got about an hour or 2 out of it before it broke. But she really enjoyed that time. Warning it is one doll body with multiple costumes and heads.

How did Star Wars sign off on this?

I am a tiny girl, so I ordered a small. I was amazingly excited to open the package. Here’s what I saw:

The top is made of foam and rubber. The rubber “gold” bits don’t stick on to the foam, so if you are going to wear this you have to sew/glue it back together. The foam pads are way bigger than in the picture. The “gold” design is different than the picture.

The skirt is pretty, but the “gold” thing on the skirt is horrid. Not only does it not stick to the skirt, it is wrinkled. Maybe it’s heat, but either they shouldn’t package it this way, or make it from better materials. The skirt covers more than the picture depicts, but that is an easy fix and not so bad.

The “jewelry” … The description says rubber, or something like that. They don’t tell you it’s flimsy rubber that sags and droops. There’s no way the girl in the picture is wearing the armband in this costume.

Minor issues: the chain on the choker is different. Skirt is different color (says it might be in description, but they really should show the other color if that is what they are selling). Skirt covers more than picture.

Major issues: top looks horrible. Foam and rubber that could not possibly fit the way it does in the picture. Gold on skirt is terrible.

So by my calculations, its the top, the skirt, the arm band and the choker that are different from the picture. Isn’t that what they are selling? False advertising, at it’s worst.

As a huge star wars fan, and married to Star wars geek, I have been looking for a costume like this. Perfect price range (yeah you can have a better one for $100s)for something you only wear a few times. It was a halloween costume, and really it got rave reviews. The only problems I had: 1) it isn’t great material, the skirt fabric was, but the top and the “metal” parts were pretty shotty workmanship. and 2) the hair peices were unable to be used since they were put in the package wrinkled and there was no way for me to uncrimp them. and 3) the bikini top annoyed the heck out of me, it poked out from the fabric itself and looked cruddy, I had received it hours before my party, and only had hot glue to fix it, and it didn’t last :( Like I said, great for a fast, noticable, base costume (if you can spend the time to fix the annoying parts) but I wouldn’t wear it again next year

Not to repeat too much from other reviews, this is a competent Return of the Jedi Princess Leia outfit. Obviously the quality of the outfit isn’t that great—a lot of cheap rubber parts, but you get what you pay for. My girlfriend ended up buying some other accessories to complete the outfit and looked great with this! If you want a perfect Princess Leia outfit you’d be better off buying separate materials and working on them a few months ahead of Halloween. But if you don’t have the time to spend doing it yourself, this outfit will definitely do.

When one pays over $20 for a costume it is generally expected that it will be better made and of better quality than a McDonalds happy meal toy. The fabric (if you could call it that) was synthetic, crude and static-prone, the gold rubber part of the bra was scarcely connected and the “metallic” parts of the costume are crumpled and wrinkly with a strong smell reminiscent of petrol. It looks nothing like it does in the picture. I highly advise that if you are still considering this product to try it on in a store first. Purchasing it online is equivalent to flushing a paycheck down the toilet. On the bright side, the fabric in the skirt is a nice color.

Why, you ask? Because this gorgeous little Star Wars figure comes with two bodies! That’s right, TWO bodies! We now have a Princess Leia Organa as Jabba’s Slave figure that comes with a reclining body position. If you have a good Jabba figure to set her up next to (or maybe a Han figure, ha), you can make quite a display with this toy! Leia comes in the package with a typical (okay, much hotter than typical) Star Wars 3.75 action figure body, but whenever you want to, you can separate her from that body at the hips and plug her torso into the pre-posed reclining position lower body, and it looks great either way!

With either body, Leia’s upper section has great articulation, jointed at the head, wrists, and doubly at the shoulders and elbows. Even the upper section of her upper half can be turned. When on her fully articulated lower body though, she of course also has articulated knees, hips, and even ankles. Highlights on the articulated lower half are real cloth material and even a G-string situation going on in the back (did the old Leia figures have that?! I think I’d remember it, but I didn’t get them all). The boots have very nice detail, but beware that the golden belt and cloth sections are separate and can be removed, when you separate the top half of the toy from the bottom half. Could make for an even sexier Leia fig, but could also allow you to lose pieces. Leia’s solid plastic, reclining lower half is very nicely detailed too, and her upper half is fantastic, even having a decent face. The only issue I have at all with this figure is that Leia wears a collar and chain around her neck that is too short. Her braid is longer! So, you can’t take the free end of the chain and put it in Jabba’s hand or anything. Plus, it is not removable… Still, with everything else about this figure being so awesome, it’s a small complaint.

Leia comes with a skiff weapon, a goblet for her master, and being part of the fantastic build-a-droid promotion, the torso of R3-M3. R3-M3 is a great little Imperial astromech droid from Episode 4, I believe, and the only build-a-droid figure I’ve completed so far, ha. I love this build-a-droid idea, just wish these figures were more affordable. But, when I find one like this, I don’t mind at all. And, this figure seems to be rather hard to find, at least in my area, so if you find one, snatch it up right away! It’s well worth it! Or, I guess you could just order one here, ha. And, as a current promotion, you can save up the Proof of Purchases to order a Qui-Gon figure with an Eopie for around 6.99. I’m currently waiting for mine to arrive.

I got a lot of compliments on this. If you are buying the costume, also, be sure your costume doesn’t come with a wit. My costume did come with a wig, but I didn’t notice until I opened the package. Good quality.

  • Buckley [ 11Apr10]

This was way better than the wig I got with the costume. And it’s brown (vs. black), so it matched my hair too.
