This is truly an epic, insightful documentary on the preparation and launch of the gateway that is the Space Shuttle. The editing is flawlessly done, creating stories inside stories of the people behind the ship itself. Combined with the hauntingly brilliant soundtrack, it is a touching, empowering, and honest portrayal of the tireless human desire to explore and go beyond.
Why can't astronauts use the ISS in an emergency in the most recent space shuttle atlantis mission?
The Shuttle Mission mission launched today i think, it's objective is to repair the Hubble telescope. I read that shuttle Endeavour was on standby incase of an emergency, as the ISS could not be used, anyone know why?

The toy is well made however it will not go straight only in circles and my 4 year old son quickly loses interest. I am sorry I bought it.
I got this for my son because he had to have a space shuttle for christmas from Santa. I looked every where and this was the only one I found that does not just sit there. using the controls it can move around in a 180 degree to go in any direction and then backwards and forwards. It is a good toy for the price. We have only had it a few days but seems to be holding up well so far.My son enjoys it. I only wish it could fly.
This is a really neat little rc shuttle. It is pretty fast and so easy to maneuver that my 3 yr old can drive it by himself. It will even do a super fast 360 spin! My son loves doing the donuts all over the kitchen floor! It won’t go on carpet- but then how many rc’s do? It seems to be pretty sturdy seeing as no one in my house has broken it yet- LOL! It lights up really bright so it’s kind of fun to play with in the dark too. We didn’t think it would ever get here- the shipping was slow due to the Christmas rush- but it was SO worth the wait! I can’t decide if I would like it more if it made noises or not… probably not now that I think about it.
While this program is now several years old, it stills ranks as one of my favorite all time Discovery Channel programs. The music and filming are exceptional and the interviews are candid and insightful. It gives everyone a good glimpse of how the entire shuttle mission crew works together and just how much goes into every flight. I wish it could be updated and released on DVD. The sound track is still phenomenal.
