One hero of this drama is a dwarf, another is an old lady, the romance at its heart is between a bad guy and bad girl, who both end up on the good guy side, and comic relief is provided by a couple of pint-sized, rascally brownies …. and the Amazon review calls this a “routine fantasy plot”??? This wonderful movie (which does, indeed, engage the viewer’s emotions!) is wryly humorous, and filled with action and pathos. There are too many great scenes to mention them all, but the drunken brownies arguing about who is the leader is unforgettable, as are Willow’s desperate flubs at transforming Fin Razeal, their “good witch” back into her own form, and Fin Razeal’s (Patricia Hayes) tart comments on his lack of skill. There is the hilarious spectacle of Val Kilmer poorly disguised as a girl, turning down a barbarian’s advances (“Wanna breed?” “Um, no!”). There is also the excellent climactic match between Fin Razeal (Patricia Hayes) and the evil sorceror queen BavMorda (Jean Marsh),

I bought this DVD because I remembered watching Caravan of Courage a long time ago as a child and haven’t seen the movie since. Couldn’t even find it in local video stores. I was wondering why couldn’t they show it on TV again (Star Wars is shown on TV practically every year). Therefore I was thrilled to see it on Amazon and decided to get it.

Maybe because I have grown and don’t find the movies on this DVD as exciting anymore, but I guess it was fun seeing it again. I bought this DVD a year before my son was born. So now there’s a reason to keep this DVD, it’s for him to watch as he grows up and hopefully gets all excited about Ewoks and Star Wars like me when I was a child.

this movie is a rather obvious attempt to cash in on the popularity the ewoks gained during the return of the jedi movie.nobody youve ever heard of isin it.but kids dont care,so theyll like it anyway.if you can listen really closely,a ewok cusses, but besides that, there is nothing to warp thier minds.it is not nearly as good as the star wars movies so dont be fooled!at one point a ewok gets killed.this could freak them out.the real deal on this one is that its cute for small children butthats about it.

This movie really does take you back to when you were a child…well atleast if you were a child a couple years after it was released! 20 years later and this is still a classic! I can’t wait for the DVD to come out! George Lucas is the man!

Please make the ewok movies available on DVD. My 3 sisters and I continuosly watched this movie as children and I would love to be able to share it with my child. I can’t believe that they are thinking of not releasing it. I recently found our old movies when my Grandparents moved. I tried to watch them, but they were so worn out that you couldn’t watch the movie, but I can’t bear to throw them out.PLASE bing this movie back, you’ll make a fortune with all the new generations of Star Wars fans!!

This movie was an amazing part of my childhood and the childhoods of many of my friends. I wish they would release it on DVD so that this generation could experience this amazing movie as well

In 2004, it was announced that, in addition to a DVD release of the original Star Wars films, we would be getting the Droids and Ewoks animated series on DVD. At that year’s comic-con, when Steve Sansweet made the announcment, he simply said that both series would be released. Now, many of us fans automatically assumed that the COMPLETE series would be released. I have always enjoyed both series, so I was very much looking forward to season sets containing all 35 episodes of Ewoks, and all 15 episodes of Droids.

HOWEVER, it was announced, not long before their DVD release, that instead of the complete series, would would simply be getting a rehash of the 1996/1997 VHS releases, where 8 episodes from each series were edited together as two feature length films per series. Now, I have to admit, this format works OK. But that’s not what most fans want. What I want to know is, who exactly made the decision to release these edited versions instead of what the fans REALLY want?

Hopefully, for the big 2007 ANH 30th anniversary, Lucasfilm will get their act together, and bring out a COMPLETE release of these two classic series on DVD (or Blu-Ray, etc.).

My little guy got this for Christmas and loves the stories that come on this two sided DVD.

My 5 year old loves this DVD to the point that we have had it for a little over a week and he has already watched both sides numerous times (asks for it every night). The best way I can describe it is a Star Wars Carebear cartoon. A little less cutesy than the Carebears, but basically the same target age-group/level. However, the other C3P0/R2D2 cartoon DVD was not liked as much and he actually got bored of it fairly quickly.

These episodes keep going and going! I never did finish it because it seems like there are hundreds of episodes. The shows are good to watch once but do not have lasting appeal.

I watched this movie because my cousin was hooked on it when I was 6 years old, and now that I’m 28 it still has the same charm and cuteness that it always has. The characters are very cute in the movie and I think it is a great movie for kids maybe 5 or 6 and above to watch, it does have some rather creepy looking characters in it that may freak smaller kids out. But even as an adult I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!

I have always been a fan of all things star wars. my friends and I even try to guess what the story in episode 3 will be like. The ewok movies were really really good. the best part of Return of the Jedi was the ewoks. Both of the ewok movies were fun, cute, and even a little bit scarry. I wish the family didn’t have to die in the second movie. The only problem now is that we have to rent them from the video store. Not many video stores still have the movies, and if they do, they aren’t exactly in good condition. that just goes to show people literally “loved” these movies to death. It would be nice to have the controle of the movies like a DVD, and to be able to have my own copy to keep forever would be nice too. i just think it would be a shame to not re release this movie that so many people very obviously show interest in. i saw the other reviews. I took the time to write this. Besides, Mr. Lucas has a lot of money anyway. The release of these movies on DVD may not bring in as much money as the others, but I think he would at the very least break even and please a lot of fans by doing it. Money is a nice motivator, but sometimes the fans alone should motivate you too. Kevin Smith makes money off his movies, and these would make more than Clerks or Mall Ratts. George Lucas would find that humerous.

I barely saw Battle for Endor, and i say to you get it
because the story is a good one. It has heart. I think you
will fall in love with the Ewoks, especially the main Ewok
who interacts with the little girl who must get to her home planet. “Yub Yub “(Ewok, Battle for Endor). Yes, absolutely 5 stars.

Willow is one of my favorite movies from the old days. I was kind of a nerd in HS. Fantasy movies like this were my life. I’ve always thought this was one of Val Kilmer’s best performances after Real Genius. This DVD is pretty good. It’s letterboxed of course but my PS3 upsampled it a bit and the video looked pretty good. It would be awesome if they would re-master it in HD. As for audio, my reciever is feeling bad so I had to use the TV speakers. For that it sounded great.
