Ya know, When Kenner first started releasing 12″ star wars figures back in 1996 I was all over it, and they have more than satiated me with the number of 12″s they have put out to date. Luke Bespin is hands down my favorite Luke so when this came out I had to have it but I don’t remember his out fit beng olive green as it is on this 12″ and his face looks NOTHING like his character. Then sideshow started putting out their star wars 12″ line and the Kenner line was dead for me. It’s a good line and worth keeping but with faces changing and outfits being too off their mark, as a collector, I prefer the accuracy of the Sideshow line. Worth waiting for.
I bought this book a few months ago, figuring it would make a perfect addition to my old-school WEG Star Wars RPG collection (1st edition of course, the ONLY edition worth buying, in my opinion).
Anyway, the book was, sadly, slightly disappointing. It mostly deals with military unit types, like rebel commandos and the like, along with military structure/rankings, equipment (none of which is particularly interesting or creative), and the like.
It definitely doesn’t ring with the “magic” of Star Wars the way you might be hoping, but it’s not terrible either. I gave it a 3 out of 5.
The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook gave me a whole lot of information on the Rebel Alliance, which has proven very useful in my gaming experience.
I found it very useful, specifically all the info on Intelligence and Special Forces.
This book is horrible, it is all about the dreaded rebel alliance. If you want to get a good book, get the Empire version.
I purchased this sticker, and for the most part it came as promised. There was even an additional, smaller sticker included which was generous on the part of the seller. The only problem I have was that I followed the instructions to the letter, even got the credit card out to smooth it against my window. But there were still very small bubbles throughout. It isn’t noticable when I am driving around, but very noticible if you are standing next to it.
So it looks good from a distance, not so much up close. But I got the decal quickly, and like I said, got an extra one thrown in. So overall, I am satisfied with the product, even if I didn’t give it five stars.
