Beneficial Problem Solver For Starwars Pics

It took me ages to see what the hype was about and I wasn’t disappointed. It would have been nice to see what it was like before it was remastered but in the end I was really happy with the film, it is a classic.
It’s not very often that trilogy’s work (i.e. the other trilogy) but this does. There is everything you want to in a film, forget it’s a sci-fi and enjoy the story.

I love this set!!!! I am not a StarWars fanatic, but I am a fan. My little brother and I watched the first one 6 times and would have gone a hundred more if our parents hadn’t put their foot down. I am that generation. You can’t mess with perfection which is why I wanted this set. I wanted the versions I saw in the theater, before George hacked them up and tried to make them better. You can’t, you shouldn’t!
Would you redo Gone With the Wind? “Frankly my dear, I really give a damn”
Or Casablanca? “Are you ready Ilsa?” “No, I’m not, I’m coming with you!”
    No, you wouldn’t dare!! ;P
Here you get the first 3 movies in all their cinematic glory along with the versions that George messed up. It actually is nice to have both so that you can compare. What you get is basically the first 3 films as they were released individually as limited edition 2 disc sets, but all in one box!!! These are classics and need to be in EVERY video library in America.
Enjoy and may the force be with you!!

Good collection of the original star wars saga. Would have been nice to have a collection which included all six films. They are as good here as they were on the big screen so many years ago.

I’ve played this game for a while now and I really enjoy it. The space battles really are the best of the whole game. Depending on the ship choice you make, you can either go after the enemy fighters or you can destroy the enemy capital ships.

The ground battles are fun as well and you get a wide variety of terrain to fight over, from cities to swamps and everything in between. You have a number of different weapon choices as well, based on the class of fighter you choose.

Additionally, there are bonuses that can be applied to space battles or ground battles.

As for the negatives about this game, I would say that after a while it gets old. You get to play different sides but you’re mostly fighting over the same planets, with the exception of a few.

Everything considered, I still consider this a great game and well worth the money.

Fast shipping. My 11yr. old son loves this game as much as the fist one.

The controls are a little bit of a hastle at first, but you get used to it after a bit. It’s a good game, dumbed down slightly from the larger consoles to fit on your psp.

I own the PS2 version and I bought this so that I could play SWB2 on the go. I was wrong. The controls sucked; I could never remember the buttons. (Maybe there was a better control scheme option available, but I always use default on EVERYTHING.) There was little over half of the maps that the PS2 version had. I understand that a UMD can only hold so much, but seriously! The SPECIAL MISSIONS exclusively for PSP: easier than pie! I could almost do it blindfolded! These could be taken out and add in some more maps maybe. Space was even more of a hassle; with less buttons than the PS2 controller I could not remember the difference between landing and primary cannons! I simply did not like this game. One more thing: Good luck getting all the medals!

I recommend getting SWB: Renegade Squadron instead. The multiplayer option is awesome!

this movie was pretty good but didn’t need to be a movie. a tv mini-series maybe but not a feature film. this movie could have been summed up in a few minutes at the beginning of attack of the clones with a shot of obi wan and qui gon walking with padme, meeting anakin as a boy and obi wan telling him he will make him a jedi and him waving good bye to his mother. sidius tells darth maul to destroy obi and qui, then darth maul attacks, kills qui gon, is vanquished by obi, then fade to black “ten years later” begin attack of the clones.

everthing else in the plot is side story and not necessary at all. the battle at the end was like a disney movie. a bunch of cute aliens fighting robots. and jar jar binks??? really??? what the heck is that all about??? top ten most unneccessary and most annoying characters of all time! lot’s of really poor cg also. big budget movie couldn’t shoot in locations that looked like alien planets? had to make it all on computers??? weak. there were some cool scenes that were real but a lot of backgrounds that could have been built as a set or were just natural landscapes that exist on earth were done with computer graphics, and poorly at that.

the only story line critical things from this movie are: anakin skywalker is discovered by obi wan and qui gon. anikan meets padme. anikans mother lives on tatooine. darth maul is sent by sidius but is killed by obi after killing qui.

everything in between is poorly made filler and a waste of time.

When I think of this movie I automatically think of a qoute from the movie “Fan Boys”, in which after the troope’ finally get to the theater to see Episode One they ask themselves…”what if it sucks”. Apt words were never spoken. This film is simply terrible, It has “a few” good action sequences and thats pretty much it. I love Star Wars, its my favorite movie franchise, I tried every way to find something to like about this movie and it just wasn’t possible. Like I mentioned this film has some good sequences and the sound is excellent, which is why I give it two stars, Darth Maul is without question a total bad a$$. But like Maul and every character save Obiwan in this film he lacks any dimension to which the viewer really could get into it like you have insight into who they are and what their motives are. They are simply strangers from the beginning to the end. Wooden dialogue is a curse of this film that is also seen in Episode 2, whoever that film is slightly better in delivery. The character of Obiwan is portrayed by McGregor who gives the character depth by simply getting above a monotone vocal range when speaking. Most of the characters speak like grade schoolers reciting a local play for the first time. The plot isn’t terribly bad, its the manner by which its delivered and filmed that makes it so bad. Seens are too big and deliver is too bland. George simply overthought this movie, fell too much in love with special affects and disregarded making likeable characters that people could relate to. Casting Jake Lloyd as young Darth…what more needs to be said about this performance…it sucked. Worse you can’t blame Lloyd, I mean he’s a kid and if Cameron can pull Edward out of an arcade and make him credible in Terminator 2 than its something you might have to put on Lucas. Simply the kid had too many lines, unrealistic delivery and simply no kids acts or talks like that and if they did, nobody would be able to stand him. No wonder he was sold to slavery. He’s not the only one who delivers a stag performance, Neilson as Quigon simply is uninteresting and uncomfortable in this role. Unlike the calmness and suave manner by which Guiness protrayed Obiwan and even McGregor does, Neilson simply doesn’t have the knack for this kind of filmwork and he looks out of place. These main characters like the previous…well not really…but sort of trilogy…are the ancors that hold the movie together. It doesn’t and the movie just shuffles from one uneventful scene to the other. Dialogue being the killer. George lacking a Han throws us a bone with Jar Jar…I wish I could throw it back. Jar Jar is the worst idea of Lucas’ career…worse that Howard the Duck and worse than cutting a shoe string budget for the special affects in Ewoks the Battle for Endor. He simply is annoying and kids are too cynical now to enjoy his 50’s style 3 Stooges humor. He practically murders this franchise and there is no wonder he disappears from the remainder of the series save some bit parts. Overall this movie lacks a simple story people can like, characters people give a crap about and fufillingness that people came to expect from George flicks. Its a must own to complete the set, if only George would have let a movie director handle this and not himself…a special affects director.

But I didn’t need them to know that Phantom Menace blows.

This movie is barely more than a glossy reissue of the Star Wars merchandising line.

Go to YouTube. Watch the review. You’ll enjoy it more than you will Phantom Menace.

Episode I has my vote as one of the worst, if not the worst major hyped release of 1999. It makes a mockery of Star Wars and gives a bad name to every actor in it. Where does one begin? Wooden, leaden acting from start to finish. No emotional content anywhere. Incredibly pointless special effects. Extremely loud soundtrack. Pointless fight scenes. Stereotyped aliens (note the slights to Asians and Semites, among others). The only redeeming aspects of this bomb are the incredible eye-popping special effects. And yes, the costuming was very creative. “So What.” I certainly hope this dog is only released as a pan-and-scan on VHS so others will avoid it (oh well). It’s a hive full of scum and villainy..or something like that.

I was shocked at the price of both a Star Wars Clone Wars vehicle AND figure for this price. My boys love playing w/ these and they are a fraction of the cost of the larger ships (around $50!).

I got this for my son for Christmas and he liked it a lot. Its well made and he knew exactly which episode of the Clone Wars it was from. I wouldn’t get it as a Star Wars toy by itself, but if it is one of many, then it is a good addition.
