I got these for a comic con costume that I’m not going to have. However, the sabers are still nice. The hilt feels a little large, but the spring action is cool. I haven’t really played with them, I just took them out of the package to test out, and then put them back. But they seem solid enough for some light saber fighting; Ep 6 style, not Ep 1.
They would serve great as toys for the kids, or for a costume if you don’t want to pay for an FX blade, or want something that can actually be hooked on a belt. However, there is no hook, haven’t figured that part out yet.
All and all, very cool Lightsabers!!

Son loves to dress up and light saber battle with any willing participant (Sith Lord/Dark Side). Great costume!!
When a child is going to be playing with a product, it needsd to be constructed of more durable materials. This is not the case with this item. It is made of very flimsey material. Also, the size range is too big. Small, medium and large should be eliminated and costumes should be made according to size, i.e. 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc.

More reminiscent of Ernest Hemingway in his bathrobe than of Sir Alec Guinness playing the venerable Jedi master, this vintage 3.75 inch action figure by Kenner is still well worth acquiring.
Collectors frequently never unpack their STAR WARS figures, and in fact, mint and near-mint sealed and carded figures are more valuable than unpacked ones. Certainly, I have several scale figures in their original display boxes, but the Jedi are too dynamic to leave packed, and the packaging of the smaller figurines is not suitable for home display anyway. My Jedi (including Darth Vader and Darth Maul) are more or less companionably occupying the end of a bookshelf in various battle poses.
Despite the Papa Hemingway resemblance, General Obi-Wan “Ben the crazy wizard” Kenobi is a must-have addition to this little gathering, even though the figure is a bit disappointing overall. Bent at his (unarticulated) knees (as if running) this Kenobi figure is the only one in the collection which has difficulty freestanding upright. To do so, the figure has to be arranged in an obviously peculiar and unnatural stance.
He comes with a removable plastic cloak (looking like he’s in long johns without it) and the longest lightsaber of any Jedi figure I have seen. Put him next to Darth Vader and watch ‘em duke it out. Well, not really…
My grandson is bonkers for all things Star Wars and requested this book. He gives it a 10 out of 10.
Like the Vader one this book is a short book about Obi Wan Kenobi while I would have loved a full lenght book of Obi Wan this one was still pretty good. It had bits and pieces from his life my favorite part was him carrying for Luke on the way to Tatooine and his observations watching the events unfold after his death especially when Obi Wan realized why he didn’t think Vader could be saved and his astonishment when he was. The only small nitpick about the book though is it doesn’t really explain why Owen Lars hated Obi Wan which is odd since the author devotes two stories to Owen and Obi Wan. At first it felt like it was because Anakin slaughtered the Tuskens and he assumes that’s how Jedi are but later Owen says something the complete opposite. I have no idea what the author was going with here.
My favorite character in the Star Wars expanded universe has grown to be Obi-Wan; from reading all the novels within Rise of the Empire era, and the Jedi Apprentice youth series. I must say this is an interesting read, though it’s more of a support catalog to fill in the cracks for all the previous novels in the series. It expands over time from Obi-Wan as a padawan till after he becomes one with the force, mainly expanding on his relationship with the Skywalker line and what history from an Obi-Wan perspective. I would suggest reading this no sooner than after Revenge of the Sith and no later than Return of the Jedi.
I can’t believe I paid for this. Most of the book was verbatim from the movies, there was not enough new content to make it worth it. So unless you haven’t seen the movies, don’t bother.
My 7 yr old son had two “regular” light sabers when he got two of these for a gift. He played with them every day for at least a month, and after that it dropped to two out of three days, and now every other day. I don’t think he owns another toy, including his DS, that he plays with more. These light up and make light saber noises, and the noise changes when it hits another solid object. Very well made; it hasn’t broken yet, which is shocking considering the abuse it gets.
I got this lightsaber for a great price at Christmas time. Even though we have several, it sounded too cool to pass up. All the neighborhood kids are in awe of the sound effects. It is definitely the preferred lightsaber at our house. The light up feature is great, especially when the kids are doing an outside battle at dusk! Very cool! The lightsaber has held up very well with almost daily use by 6-12 year old boys. I am planning to get another one for each when birthdays roll around. You can’t go wrong with this one if you have a Star Wars fan in your house.
