Jedi Auth Star Advice

This book covers the basics to becoming a Jedi Knight. It’s fun, easy to understand, and even has optional projects to complete. I read it over and over and get more out of it each time.

As the product says it is a basic Jedi manual. It introduces the reader to the basics of the modern Jedi spiritual movement and helps one to apply some of these teachings. It does not go into extreme depth, but does encourage the reader to do further research on their own. It is a wonderful introduction in my opinion.

It does not promise to be the end all be all on the Jedi movement but it definitely serves its purpose as a general and basic introduction. Mr. Vossler’s writing style helps the facts to be very understandable and engaging. I hope to see more writings on Jediism in the future from Mr. Vossler especially those more advanced topics.

This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to bring excellence into their life by practicing in real life the principles of the Jedi described in the Star Wars saga. Here is where eastern philosophy, Christian principles, mysticism, and pop-psychology intersect. Don’t miss this book! –Matt

This is a very Basic manual, so it was well named, it only gives a brief idea of the Jedi Realist. It seems to be a workbook of sorts, similar to the ones at many of the online Jediism sites, but with far less information. It starts with comparing a Jedi Knight with a Medieval Knight, then tells you to go online for more information about Knights. It then gives the 12 Paths to being a Jedi Knight, taken for the Order of the Jedi. It briefly touches on the Philosophy of the Jedi, mentioning the Force and the Jedi code, 1 paragraph each, no real discussion. Then goes on to talk about what a Jedi Knight strives to be. It then mentions M theory as scientific proof of the Force. Then ends with how to deal with a Sith, mainly ignore them, and keep up positive thoughts.

Overall, not even sure it was worth the $4 I spent picking it up from the Amazon Kindle store. While it doesn’t get anything wrong, it really doesn’t go into enough detail to get it wrong. What isn’t taken from other sites, is presented as look for it yourself. The IJRS Intro workbook has much more useful information for a Jedi Realist just starting out. The one thing that this book did do for me, is get me thinking about how the Jediism sites out there need a “what is a Jedi Realist” Pamphlet or intro sheet, something to hand out to interested people, to give them an idea of what we are, and what it means to be a Jedi realist. As for this book, I don’t recommend it, very little information can be found in it, at best it is a collection of links and information found freely on the net.

I ordered this costume to my son who loves Star Wars. The pants were long to him but I could fold it a bit on the waist line and fitted ok. I guess it is good so he can enjoy his cotume longer as he grows up. The quality is very good for the price. Loved it.

My kid is very happy with this costume, doesn’t take it off not even to go to bed. The material looks good.

The costume is nice, not superb material and craftsmanship, the belt is very simply put together (looks nicer in the picture than in real life). supplier was prompt and accurate

My son asked for this for Christmas and has gotten himself dressed up many times to pretend he is a Jedi. Clothes are durable and easy to put on and take off.

This item is HUGE. You will swim in it. It’s frankly nothing more than a robe with big sleeves and big cape. The material is heavy and feels as rough as a potato sack. Best to make it yourself next year.

I’m a huge Star Wars fan and made a Jedi tunic several years ago. All I needed to finish my costume was a Jedi robe. However, I was slightly disappointed with the Super Deluxe Jedi robe. The robe itself is a good length (it was a bit too long on my 5′9″ frame) and the general shape is correct (i.e. head engulfing hood and wide sleeves). I was disappointed with the fabric. It was too smooth and felt-like, while the fabric in the movies appears coarser. If you are not too detail obsessive, this is a good robe. Also, be sure to shop around. This is not the best price I’ve found.

I have been ramping up for this year’s halloween by putting together a Jedi Costume. After having modified a bathrobe, hand made a set of tabbards and an Obi, found a pair of credible boot tops, and even created my own lightsaber out of drain pipe and windshield wiper blades, I was only missing one thing; That long flowing brown robe that is the true mark of the Jedi Bendu. Okay I’m a dork… So after browsing amazon for a while and seeing the various choices, some obviously unworthy and some not so obviously, I was instinctually drawn to the Super Deluxe Jedi Robe. The problem i ran into was the size “Standard” and obviously not knowing how authentic looking this robe actually was. I drove down to a local costume store and tried on the “Deluxe Jedi Robe” version and was pleased to find that the standard size actually fit decently on my 6′4″ frame, even though the “Deluxe” was visibly thin and the hood wasn’t that giant melon engulfing thing like in the movies – also the robe didn’t go all the way to the floor, but overall the thing fit well. So I chose to order the Super Deluxe on a wing and a prayer. It arrived today and right out of the box it was the obvious right choice. The robe is made of thick material, the color is right on at a dark brown (not the near black like in the picture) the hood is massive and swallows my whole face, and the hem actually just sweeps the floor as I walk in it. The sleeves are huge and swallow up my whole arm whether they are hanging or crossed in front of my chest. As i said I am 6′4″ tall and have broad shoulders and long arms, and this robe fits great – anyone looking for a good authentic robe and wanting to avoid cheap imitation like looks will not be unhappy with this product. This robe would probably also work just as well for Lord of The Rings costumes or any other robe wearing character or monster as long as the dark brown color is appropriate. Maybe the only thing to consider is the thickness of the material in that it will probably be a very hot garment. Finish this sucker off with a Force FX lightsaber or a Park Sabers lightsaber and all you’ll need then is the force. So if you see any 6′4″ jedi’s walking around with a 2 year old Master Yoda both bearing force fx lightsabers… that’s us. Good luck and may the force be with you.
