The Hasbro ForceFX lightsabers SUCK compared to authentic Master Replicas. I don’t even care that they are making new models. I will never get another. The blade wobbles, the sound effects are weak and garbled, and there is a SEAM along the hilt of the blade.
Compared to my Master Replica blades, this thing looks like crap. I don’t even keep it next to my originals. The finish is dull and mottled by comparison. Even if I wanted to put it with the originals, I couldn’t. The base has holes for wall mounting, but the plastic supports exceed the depth of the base and cannot be inserted if the base is on the wall!
Don’t bother. Save your money and find an authentic Master Replica blade on Ebay.
Bought this for my boyfriend for XMAS. He loves it. works great! looks great! worth the money
If you like fx lightsabers, you will enjoy this one. It feels more solid and heavier than the others (like the ventress lightsaber). Only complaint is how to display it with my others since the saber is slightly curved !!!
I bought this for my boyfriend to add to his collection. It’s fun as a toy and also a great collectors item.
I really liked how they went out of their way with this toy. It looks like the way he does on the tv show. Count Dooku was not my favorite character but he looks so cool on the clone wars series. My only criticism is how long hasbro took to release this toy. This toy should have been available when the Clone Wars movie was playing in theatres. Hasbro waited 3 months after the movie. Hasbro’s marketing tactics need improvement.
Don’t give to small children or people with special needs they will break and they have small pieces. Otherwise they are prtty cool.
It has less quality than the cheap ones bought at an department store. I assume this is meant for an adult that only plans to dress as Count Dooku on Halloween and not for a six year old that will actually play with it.
This toy didn’t last 10 minutes. We gave it to our 5 year old for christmas. The second time he went to extend it, the lightsabor (red) part went flying across the room and almost hit our 2 year old in the head. He wasn’t even playing rough with it. I do not recommend for children.
I actually misunderstood other reviews of this product as saying that this was an independently produced Dooku lightsaber. This was my own mistake, so not an issue. It’s like the halloween costume lightsabers you find at retail stores, but it’s a nice saber if you’re not looking for the expensive light and sound stuff in the Hasbro version. The only real negative about this particular piece is that there is a protrusion out of the “blade projector” that is made of softer rubber, rather than hard plastic like the rest of the lightsaber. While it’s safer, the rubber does not hold the rigid shape it should, so it looks bent. Minor complaint, but there it is!
This lightsaber is decently made. The blade is a little flimsy compared to other toy lightsabers but, it is also longer than those. This one also lights up, which is a nice feature. Dooku’s lightsaber is shaped differently than most and the manufacturer does a good job of placing a rubber piece at the end (where the blade comes out). If this piece was made of plastic like the rest of the item, it would definitely break off. The rubber bends without breaking. Overall, not too bad of a toy.
I ordered this figure and I recieved it damaged and tryed to order a replacment. Got a email saying there wasn’t a replacment available when it was clearly available to order off the website. Also was not able to leave feedback for these shysters. Got the run around on the phone as well. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM TOY R US unless you want damaged merchandise.
