It doesn’t ship well the plastic bends and wont reshape. I had to return it.
why did jabba the hutt dress slave leia in a bikini?
here's what i'm thinking...jabba the hutt could have very easily put a collar around leia's neck and chained Slave leia Poster her to his throne. and if she was any other kind of slave, her outfit wouldn't matter!what were jabba's intentions dressing her in the bikini? did the bikini have some kind of underlying meaning? i mean, i realize it's a pg movie! thoughts?i am referring to the gold bikini princess leia wore in return of the jedi.

As a huge star wars fan, and married to Star wars geek, I have been looking for a costume like this. Perfect price range (yeah you can have a better one for $100s)for something you only wear a few times. It was a halloween costume, and really it got rave reviews. The only problems I had: 1) it isn’t great material, the skirt fabric was, but the top and the “metal” parts were pretty shotty workmanship. and 2) the hair peices were unable to be used since they were put in the package wrinkled and there was no way for me to uncrimp them. and 3) the bikini top annoyed the heck out of me, it poked out from the fabric itself and looked cruddy, I had received it hours before my party, and only had hot glue to fix it, and it didn’t last
Like I said, great for a fast, noticable, base costume (if you can spend the time to fix the annoying parts) but I wouldn’t wear it again next year
Not to repeat too much from other reviews, this is a competent Return of the Jedi Princess Leia outfit. Obviously the quality of the outfit isn’t that great—a lot of cheap rubber parts, but you get what you pay for. My girlfriend ended up buying some other accessories to complete the outfit and looked great with this! If you want a perfect Princess Leia outfit you’d be better off buying separate materials and working on them a few months ahead of Halloween. But if you don’t have the time to spend doing it yourself, this outfit will definitely do.
When one pays over $20 for a costume it is generally expected that it will be better made and of better quality than a McDonalds happy meal toy. The fabric (if you could call it that) was synthetic, crude and static-prone, the gold rubber part of the bra was scarcely connected and the “metallic” parts of the costume are crumpled and wrinkly with a strong smell reminiscent of petrol. It looks nothing like it does in the picture. I highly advise that if you are still considering this product to try it on in a store first. Purchasing it online is equivalent to flushing a paycheck down the toilet. On the bright side, the fabric in the skirt is a nice color.
How did Star Wars sign off on this?
I am a tiny girl, so I ordered a small. I was amazingly excited to open the package. Here’s what I saw:
The top is made of foam and rubber. The rubber “gold” bits don’t stick on to the foam, so if you are going to wear this you have to sew/glue it back together. The foam pads are way bigger than in the picture. The “gold” design is different than the picture.
The skirt is pretty, but the “gold” thing on the skirt is horrid. Not only does it not stick to the skirt, it is wrinkled. Maybe it’s heat, but either they shouldn’t package it this way, or make it from better materials. The skirt covers more than the picture depicts, but that is an easy fix and not so bad.
The “jewelry” … The description says rubber, or something like that. They don’t tell you it’s flimsy rubber that sags and droops. There’s no way the girl in the picture is wearing the armband in this costume.
Minor issues: the chain on the choker is different. Skirt is different color (says it might be in description, but they really should show the other color if that is what they are selling). Skirt covers more than picture.
Major issues: top looks horrible. Foam and rubber that could not possibly fit the way it does in the picture. Gold on skirt is terrible.
So by my calculations, its the top, the skirt, the arm band and the choker that are different from the picture. Isn’t that what they are selling? False advertising, at it’s worst.
