This video game is good. I’m a fan of the Star Wars movies. This game makes me feel like I’m in the actual movie. I can feel the speed of 600 mph. Great music and audio soundtrack.

2009 Star Trek alternate time line inquiry?
With the new movie out I have questions about what changes in the alternate time-line up until the recent Dominion war and such.I understand that the planet Vulcan has been destroyed, thus many Vulcans and that central core of culture is gone, if not seriously altered. What about Spock's mom? What effects Art Of Star Wars Episode I did she have if she hadn't died in the shaping of the universe? Did she have any influences in any of the episodes as an ambassador? What about Spock, the old one being in that time even laying low, showing Scotty how to transport at warp. What else could he do to change future history? The present crew (in alternate reality crew) Spock and uhura may have children? What about Kirk needing to prove himself, not having a father. The enterprise itself looks a little more art deco, and rather than the classic line of phaser shot and off it sort of hurls shots like a gattling gun. What else will/has dramatically shifted between timelines that will project into the future???thanks

I remember purchasing this game when it first came out and I fell in love with it. I would play for hours on end and never get tired of it. One thing I did get very tired of was the fact that this game has more glitches and problems than any other game ever made. Sometimes you will be at the end of a level and your character will just run off screen and never come back. Sometimes you will jump and somehow be sucked into the air at light speed but don’t worry your confusion will be put to rest when you hear your character dying then he appears on the ground dead next to Player 2. I’ve also seen my character start to run but the game decided to repeat the run animation in place for a minute or so then your character just disappears and you never know what happened. If I had to pick a favorite though, it would be when you are just happily running along until your character just falls right through the floor and dies. The worst part about the glitches are they can happen ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. There is no way to tell if the game is about to glitch or if there is a certain level that glitches more than others, it’s all random chance. Don’t get me wrong though, this is an amazing game. I will still tell people this is the greatest Star Wars game ever made, because it is. If you do want to play it though: Player be warned. This game WILL glitch out and murder your character. This game WILL let you beat an extremely difficult boss then just decide to kill you for no reason and you will have to start the entire level over. This game WILL cause you to be come extremely angry and scream at the TV until your entire face is bright red with anger. In my opinion though, it is worth it.
In the opinion of this 43 year old, this is the only Play Station game worth playing. It’s fun and very challenging, but if you play it with your children, you’ll have a lot of fun.
It’s the only PS1 game I’ve played that was fun for me!
Oh yeah, Jedi Power Battles. It’s a shame they didn’t continue this series. The combo systems were amazing and the ultimate saber does what all light sabers would do “in real life” namely drop fools with one swipe. None of this hit-em-4-times-before-they-drop crap. Admittedly the two player mode gets tough when you’ve got to jump on a billion different moving platforms but it still doesn’t take away from the overall awesomeness of this extremely fun but sadly overlooked action game.
If you are looking for a brilliant Star Wars game, you’re in the wrong place. This is the worst Star Wars game ever.
Multiplayer is tedious and frustrating, because if one person dies by falling off a cliff, then the screen moves so that the other player is inevitably doomed. This is due to the fact that the producers forgot to make it split-screen.
That’s excluding the fact that there is really no fighting/action and that falling off of cliffs is the entire purpose of the game.
There are only ten levels, and rather than making the enemies harder or the action more intense, the producers decided to make more cliffs for you to fall off of! Yipee! And on top of that… there is a little battle droid waiting at the other end of just about every cliff you’re supposed to jump over. He shoots you with his blaster when you are almost there, causing you to freeze in mid-air and fall into the abyss you were just jumping over. He is, in the later levels replaced by another droid doing the same exact thing. He’s just doing it with a rocket. Brilliant!!!
3D??? This game would be better off 2D, because the position of the camera doesn’t follow the player, but moves from one point to another to give you the worst angle possible for any action game.
The combat is limited, because you cannot jump and attack at once, and if you jump over a droid, it is turned around before you are, and ready to shoot you without a moment’s delay. Or, if you prefer, it will just shoot you while you are jumping over it, because it always remains on target. This will leave you constantly pressing one button to attack from beginning to end.
As for upgrades and force moves that you aqquire; by level five, you have been given every force move in the game. Yes, I mean it, all three of them. There were more Force moves than that in the Star Wars games for Super Nintendo.
It goes as FAR from the movie as it can without calling itself, “Star Wars; Jedi Cliff Jumping.” None of the jedi were ever in a Naboo swamp fighting armies of Gungan’s just for the thrill of it. None of the Jedi would have spent their free time jumping from one flying cruiser to another killing random people in Courascant. And not one of the Jedi would have been stupid enough to jump from balcony to balcony to get to the Queen, when it was obviously easier just to use the stairs.
I could go on and on about how much I liked this game, but instead, I’ll just list the pros and their corresponding cons.
Pros
1. Co-play
2. No blood
3. Good cheats
4. You get a battle tank
5. You get a STAPP
6. It’s challenging
7. You get force moves
8. Based on a Star Wars movie
Cons
1. Co-play sucks
2. Almost no fighting
3. To get cheats you have to perfect the whole thing
4. The battle tank is in just one level
5. You can’t ride around in the STAPP
6. It’s tedious
7. You master all three Force moves by level 5
8. Doesn’t really follow any Star Wars movies
9. Graphics suck
10. No split-screen
11. Only two vehicles
12. Only two weapons (including the grenade)
13. The fighting is boring and tedious
14. It may as well be 2D
15. Your force power is limited
16. And it’s just no fun
If you’re looking for a Star Wars game for Playstation, “Star Wars Demolition” is pretty cool, and hey, they actually remembered to make that one split-screen.
If you’re looking for something with exciting combat on Playstation, keep looking, I’m sure it’s out there somewhere.
And finally, if you are looking to conduct an experiment on how long it takes to die of boredom, then this is the game for you.
Sorry to be the naysayer, but this game really sucks.
this game is fun pretty fun:
pros:
good graphics
fun game play
fast or normal
gear shifting 3 gears
cons
better with rumble pak
sometimes you need to blow on it to get it working
overall this is a awesome game for n64 . I bokught a used one cause they have saved files already.
This is a very fun game, possibly the best “racing game” I have played. I normally find them very dull, “Nascar 64 anyone?” However, as a racing game, I enjoyed this immensely.
Here is the flipside. This game is not NEAR as good as, say Hydro Thunder, or Need for Speed. The best thing about this game is the multiplayer, as the single player gets old fast.
My reccomendation, find a friend, rent the game, and have fun!
This is the best racing game since Mario kart. The vehicles are cool and you get to play cool characters and go through cool courses. This is a must have racing game.
If you liked this game then check out all of the other star wars games.
this was a cool game at the time but n 64 is over and soon xbox 360 will rule all consoles so get an xbox now and then get 360 not some lame playstation that will be a copy of the first xbox
sony sucks big time
My poor son (nine years old)loved the photos and behind-the-scenes picture captions, but he was baffled by the text, which is really geared toward adults. But the LucasArts details were wonderful, and the myriad details and interviews were lots of fun. Read it with your kids, or give it to the teen interested in film-making, but if your little one haggles for this particular Episode One book, give it a pass.
This book provides a snap-shot of film-making at the end of the century. The story of Star Wars episode I’s crafting in 150 pages. Packed with detail. Short quotes from people involved, from cast to crew, pepper the text adding colour and information. Well illustrated, clearly told and attention grabbing. Thorough in its scope and ecomomic in language, good reading and eminently collectible. A suitable companion to Thomas Smith’s, Industrial Light and Magic: The Art of Special Effects (1986), which covered much on the special effects of episodes IV-VI. A contribution to the myth of Star Wars.
