No problems with the shipper. Product was on time and in good condition when I received it. My complaint is with the toy itself. All but 2 of the lightsabers broke off within a few days of my son playing with it. I had to Krazy glue them back together so he could enjoy them. So I am not sure this is a seller problem, but a manufacturer problem. Another “quality” product made in China I guess.
Is it true that Darth Sidious or Palapatine, in Star Wars: ROTJ, didnt really sidious Auth die?
Hes not dead. According to what ive read on Wookiepedia. Is Star Wars showing its true colors as a cash cow franchise?

star wars episode III revenge of the sith is the greatest movie in the world the greatest movie of the 21st century and the soundtrack is just as good buy this soundtrack you wont be sorry
Four years ago, John Williams reached a pinnacle (again) with STAR WARS EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH. Standing on the debatably smaller steps of PHANTOM MENACE and ATTACK OF THE CLONES as well as the mighty shoulders of the original trilogy, John Williams managed to bring it all together in harmonious union.
Along with some captivating new themes.
The vocal arrangements combined with the ominous tones of Anakin’s betrayal, the fall of the Jedi, and the destruction of the Jedi Temple are beautiful yet very haunting. Nothing like this has ever been heard on a Star Wars soundtrack. And I’ve heard nothing more intense than the “Anakin Vs. Obi-Wan” theme. Track 12, “The Immolation Scene” provided a melodic but somber mood, somewhat of an echo of another piece John Williams composed also called “Immolation” on the soundtrack to SCHINDLER’S LIST.
Also with SITH, much more so than the two previous scores, John Williams has done a wonderful job of blending old familiar themes (especially from the original trilogy) with the new. Examples include Track 9, “Anakin Vs. Obi-Wan,” Track 14, “The Birth of the Twins and Padmé’s Destiny,” and Track 15, “A New Hope and End Credits” along with a couple of others.
As noted on the liner notes of PHANTOM MENACE, there were musicians in the London Symphony Orchestra who went into music because they loved the Star Wars score so much when they were kids. Now they’re performing this music on an actual soundtrack. There must have been at least a few of those same people performing on REVENGE OF THE SITH. And I like to think there were a few of the old-timers there as well. That’s one of the most wonderful things about this music: it transcends generational barriers.
What a grand union of perspective! And what a grand reunion of memorable melodies.
the score to the final star wars film, is, actually, my favorite of all six. i heard that it would be released with a bonus disk.as you can guess, i was enthralled. a BONUS DISK? WITH MORE MUSIC? AWESOME!!! you can tell my dissapointment with the DVD. Is it a great addition to the soundtrack? Yeah, Sure. But in my opinion, i think more music shoulda been on the soundtrack instead of the DVD. Now, don’t let that stop you from getting this. the score on the album is amazaing. DO get this item. Let’s hope for a Complete Score Of The Prequels, Much Like The OT. I’m getting quite impatient as there is great music left off the album.Hopefully..It’ll come soon.
The music is great, as you’d expect from Star Wars. However, what really sets this appart is the bonus DVD that has music-videos of around 6 star wars songs. The DVD includes intros and comments from Anthony Daniels (C3PO). I purchased this for the DVD alone, it’s a great buy.
This is an excellent 3.75 inch action figure of STAR WARS’ own Mr. Charm School himself, the Sith Lord Darth Sidious (aka Senator Palpatine, Chancellor Palpatine, the Emperor, and the “Master” in “Yes, my Master”). Played by Ian McDiarmid, he’s appeared in every STAR WARS film.
Darth Sidious is wonderfully creepy in his black cowl and robes. His face is partly conealed and the hood of his robe is not removable. Although he comes with his hands clasped before him, the figure looks more effective with his arms opened and outreaching—the long drape of the sleeves gives him a batlike appearance which is surprisingly scary.
He comes with a Comm-Tech chip as a stand (a chip reader is necessary to access the talking feature) but disappointingly lacks any accessories, even a lightsaber or Force lightning, either of which would seem de riguer for the old misanthrope. To get either you’ll have to steal one from another Jedi or Sith figure in your collection, something, I’m sure, of which Darth Sidious would approve.
If you enjoy any of the books by Joseph Campbell and are a Star Wars fan, then this is the book for you. It covers everything from Greek mythology and Zen Buddhism to the Cowboy archetype and the uniforms of World War 2. Most of the artwork is incredible (many pics from the “Art of Star Wars” books), and there are tons of detailed photos from the Smithsonian tour, which I was lucky enough to catch at Houston’s Museum of Fine Arts many years ago. I only wish they had waited a few years until the entire Prequel Trilogy was completed before they published this book!
Excellent book with amazing pics of the props and unusual images from the movies from the OT. Fantastic!!
If you’ve been lucky enough to see “The Magic of Myth” in one of its many permutations, this book is a great supplement to and a wonderful reminder of just how cool that exhibit was. If you haven’t seen the exhibit, this book is still great to have for it’s back-story on the origins of the trilogy.
I’m not the most well-read person around so it was a lot of fun to learn how Lucas’ characters and story were shaped by (or copied from) myths and legends of other times and cultures. Reading this book has led me to explore some of the material that Lucas borrowed from in creating Star Wars. I’m a big SW nut, but it’s nice to get my head out of the SW universe and out into other forms of art and literature.
If you don’t feel like reading, this book is also full of GREAT photos from the trilogy.
I keep this one on the shelf next to Joseph Campbell’s “Power of Myth.” It is a nice complement to Campbell’s book.
Within this book I would say this incredible look into the mix of Mythology, History and Star Wars that I have ever seen. A great companion Book to the “Magic of Myth” exhibit.. and it would make a great companion book to the Joesph Campbell books “The Hero with a Thousand faces and “The Power of Myth.”
Basically giving the impression of the origin of the Star Wars Films. How Lucas was influenced with all these ideas and made the films what they are today. How timeless the story really has been. Also available is some of the pre production artwork from the Classic Trilogy.
My son received this as a gift and he loves it. He had wanted Emporer Palpatine, but we couldn’t find him by himself, so this worked great. The light sabers are pretty small and hard to keep in the figures hands, but my son doesn’t need them. He uses his imagination and has great battles without them. The figures are pretty durable. My son is 5 and he hasn’t destroyed them.
This was the first ever battle pack I had ever bought when they first came out and it still leaves a lot to be disired. Dont get me wrong, four jedi and one sith in a battle pack would be great, but these figures are just poor quality. Almost all of the lightsabers in this pack broke within a day, and the figures did’nt even hold the sabers anyways. This pack would be fun if were better quality.
